San Francisco's Secret Silver Dollar
The San Francisco Mint struck millions of Morgan Silver Dollars between 1878 and 1904. But they made a secret Silver Dollar in 1903 that even back then folks in the U.S. didn't know about. Remember, USA governed the Philippines at the time, and the secret Silver Dollar is this 1903—S Philippine Peso. It's about the size of the Morgan, and it's struck in the same 90% silver. The Silver Dollar also shows the famous "S" mintmark.
